About

Who we are

After extended periods in the real estate finance industry, our principals, Tim du Temple and Brooke Conlon, saw an opportunity to create a unique kind of business.

Harnessing the lessons learnt during market cycles within various roles, they established Arden Debt Advisory to act purely in the interests of borrowers.

Our people

Arden Debt Advisory was co-founded by principals, Tim du Temple and Brooke Conlon, in 2021.

Tim and Brooke share a strong working relationship, having been colleagues for over 12 years.

Tim du Temple

Principal

Tim has been active in the Australian real estate debt market for 20 years. During this time, he has closed over $5 billion of real estate funding across all major asset classes within Australia.

Before Arden, he spent 10 years as a senior banker lending directly to developers and investors. The time spent obtaining credit approvals and documenting transactions gave him an acute understanding of financiers’ credit and legal processes. This knowledge is the foundation of Arden’s service to its clients.

More recently, Tim established successful debt advisory businesses at JLL and then Colliers. His extensive network of domestic and offshore banks and non-banks helped him close over $2.2 billion in debt advisory mandates. Tim has experience in different debt structures across the capital stack.

Tim has sat on the PCA Debt Capital Markets Committee and the Property Industry Foundation Board of Advisors. He has also been a guest lecturer for the property finance courses at UTS and UWS.

When not racing around after his 8 year-old twins, Tim ignores the advice of his GP and trains at his local boxing gym and pursues his dream of joining a rock band.

Brooke Conlon

Principal

Brooke manages the debt raising process, from pitch to close, and beyond. Employing skills learned over the last 15 years in real estate finance and social infrastructure investment and development, she runs uncompromising debt raising processes with thorough analysis in support of her strategy development and final recommendations.

Brooke is passionate about providing an unrivalled client experience. Her upfront attention to detail makes for a seamless transaction, with potential hurdles identified and dealt with early.

Brooke has worked on all $2.2 billion in debt raising mandates outlined in our track record. In addition she has  settled and managed more than $1 billion in real estate loan books, written and coordinated bid submissions  for infrastructure projects and PPPs, and negotiated and transaction-managed a market-leading key worker housing project.

Brooke has acted as a youth mentor for organisations such as RAISE Foundation and ABCN, as well as participated as a member of the PCA Debt Capital Markets Committee.

Outside of work, Brooke enjoys outdoor training, long lunches and feels most challenged when trying to answer life’s big questions, as posed to her by her two young sons. “Mum, when you speak, why doesn’t your voice come back?”, “What is a soul?”, “How can you be sure today is Tuesday?”, and so on.
